What I Ate Today #2

This food diary is a little different from my first (which can be found here) as I visited a lovely new brunch spot with one of my closest friends, so what better day to do one of these posts when trying out a new place!

I wanted to ‘save’ myself for my brunch, but I cannot function without some caffeine running through my veins, so I just had a coffee in my favourite mug!

Now, may I just say, this place in my local town is my new favourite brunch spot! It has a wide range of options to choose from and the rustic feel makes the artesian styled menu that much better.

I decided to have a Breakfast Stack which is roasted tomatoes, topped with avocado, bacon (I swapped that for mushrooms, as I don’t eat red meat) and feta. I also think there was some balsamic drizzled on top also, it was so yummy! I could get used to this every morning!

To accompany my brunch, I had a latte, which I must say is the prettiest one I have ever had!

We also had tea and cake a little later! I had Earl Grey and a chocolate brownie (I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF- I’m sorry!). The brownie was so decadent, I only had half so I took the rest home for my mum to try ha!

As brunch was so filling, I just had a yoghurt and another coffee, these Activia yoghurts are my favourite as they are fat-free and there is no added sugar – would really recommend!

On evenings I still try and not eat anything too filling! Last night I just wanted something really fresh and full of flavour (since when don’t I want that!?) so I just had what I call a ‘fajita bowl’.

I chopped up 1/4 courgette (or zucchini if you are from the States), a couple of mushrooms,  a few cherry tomatoes, 1/4 red onion, 1/4 red pepper and half a can of sweetcorn.

I seasoned with salt, pepper and leftover fajita mix!

And ta-da, pretty (un)impressive!

It does look quite ugly but it is really filling and rather tasty!

And that is what I ate today! It was a real treat going out for brunch, dinner was a rough one photo wise, but I’m not the creative director for Waitrose Magazine ha!

I really enjoyed brunchin’ with one of my favourite humans on the planet, in the cutest place which I cannot wait to visit again!

Much love

I love what I call “veggie bowls” like the fajita one you made! Brunch sounds delicious too!
